I live in the Hamilton/Halton region and have always been a conservative voter, I would talk everyone in my family and all my friends to vote conservative and even drive loads of people to vote, yes conservative. I have worked on campaign efforts and even had my window smashed out because of the Harper sign I had in it. Well being a average blue collar worker I took the media as being honest and believed what we were being fed. So I got a smartphone recently, and discovered the wonderfull world of twitter, well let me tell you it has changed me. I also was a huge fan of talk1010 radio in Toronto and as of recent we have been blasted with pro nuclear ads from the CNA so it got me going on twitter to find out what is going on with Fukushima...wow we have been so in the dark the last two years with what is going on. Needless to say it is obvious the government is in bed with the nuclear industry and in this matter they obviously support what is being done to our planet and the poor souls of Japan. As a life long conservative I can't support this kind of brutal lies being told and truth being hidden from the public. I will never vote conservative again, we need to shut all nuclear plants now, why we are still using this devistating tech is beyond me! just look what has being going on to our planet for the last 30 years or so, how quickly we forget names like sl-1, windscale, chernobyl, fukushima shame on us.
