The Netherlands have no active nuclear plants. There's one shutdown plant at Dodewaard.

Beside, there's an uranium enrichment plant in Almelo, run by the company Urenco. The same company is running a similar uranium enrichment plant in Gronau/Germany near the border.

Anti-nuclear groups

WISE

WISE (World information service on energy) [2] is a group from Amsterdam against nuclear power. They are doing lot's of research on international nuclear issues, so they're pretty well known in the international anti nuclear movement.

Actions

In the past years, there were some direct actions against nuclear waste trains in the Netherlands [3].
