Please announce your participation for the infotour or parts of it as soon as possible to tour AT nuclear-heritage.net[1] or at telephone +358 41 7243254. We need your announcements to plan and prepare food and accommodation as well as the actions and events very urgently!

Tour Stop in Greifswald

Greifswald (more correctly the village Lubmin) is the site of eight former GDR nuclear reactors and of the today's temporary repository ZLN (Zwischenlager Nord) of the nuclear company Energiewerke Nord (EWN). Although it was built to store only the decommissioning waste of the so-called "Kernkraftwerk Nord" (NPP North) the operator plans to use it also for nuclear waste from other (Western) German nuclear facilities.[2]

The Baltic Sea Info Tour will stop from July 26-28 in Greifswald. We will provide a public information event, a public street action and a regional network gathering here. Before that we will have one day for an interim evaluation of the part of the infotour between Russia and Germany.

Travel Schedule of the Greifswald Stop

  • Saturday (Jul 24): travelling from the previous stop in Jezioro Żarnowieckie to Greifswald
  • Sunday (Jul 25): INTERIM EVALUATION
  • Monday - Wednesday (Jul 26-28): STOP in Greifswald
  • Thursday (Jul 29): travelling to the next stop in Copenhagen


Programme

Meeting place will be the Klex (Lange Straße 14); every evening food will be available for donation around 6 p.m. Arrival is possible from Friday July 23 onwards.

  • a bike or a seat in a car to get to Lubmin on Sunday

Treffpunkt wird das Jugendzentrum Klex sein (Lange Straße 14), um 18 Uhr gibt's immer VoKü. Ankunft ist ab Freitag möglich.
