Die Kampagne "Europas Atomerbe" wurde 2006 von der Magdeburger Jugend-Umweltorganisation Greenkids e.V. ins Leben gerufen. Es geht um die Vernetzung von Jugendgruppen in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern, die zum Thema Atomkraft arbeiten.
Die LIgA hat sich – zusammen mit anderen themenbezogen arbeitenden Gruppen – an dem Projekt beteiligt und bei der Vernetzung mitgewirkt. Inhaltlicher Schwerpunkt der LIgA ist seit Jahren die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Zwischenlager (und geplanten Endlager) in Gorleben. Die LIgA möchte mit dieser Jugendinitiative Verantwortung für die Finanzierung und Koordination des Projektes übernehmen und Erfahrungen in diesem Arbeitsfeld sammeln.
