Dear friends,

It is quite some time since you have heard from us in English as we managed successfully to stop uranium waste exports from Gronau and Almelo to Russia (at least for the time being ...).

Some of you might remember that as part of our campaign we held an international uranium conference in Dortmund in 2007.

Now, one year after Fukushima and amidst dramatic changes within the uranium and nuclear industry, we are organizing again once again an international uranium conference, this time in Münster (55 km southeast of Gronau).

We want to look at the changes within the industry (e. g. who wants to take over the Urenco shares from EON, RWE and the British state, where are new uranium mines planned, what are the plans of AREVA and Rosatom) and of course at a whole bunch of uranium-related topics and discuss them with a wide panel of people and groups. It is obvious that we have to close down the uranium industry if we want to end the nuclear age. The conference is supported by numerous groups from Germany and other countries. Yours would be welcome too, of course.

Therefore we would like to invite you to the International Uranium Conference in Münster on 4 February 2012, from 10 am to 6 pm. Furthermore there will be a manifestation in front of Germany's only uranium enrichment plant in Gronau on 5 February at 1 pm.

All the relevant information (programm, address, contact) can be found on the conference-website on http://www.urankonferenz2012.de.

If you have material to publish, please forward it to info AT urankonferenz2012.de[1].

If you would like to come please register via the same mail-address, especially if you need some accommodation in Münster!

We would be delighted to have you in Münster, because we believe that the time has come to turn more attention onto the powerful and dangerous uranium industry.

Take care and nuclear-free greetings

Aktionsbündnis Münsterland gegen Atomanlagen, SOFA Münster
