Final Disposal Symposium in Berlin, October 30 - November 1, 2008
Banner saying something like "First shutdown, then (maybe) discuss". It is about the discussion about finding a repository for final disposal of nuclear waste. The argument is that first all nuclear facilities (that produce nuclear waste!) have to be shut down before anti-nuclear activists want to talk about a final disposal site they would agree with. Reason: if they would accept a repository, nuclear lobbyists would use this as an argument to continue producing of nuclear waste (claiming there would be a acceptable solution for this waste). However, every solution will be a bad one; it is impossible to store nuclear waste safely for millions of years.
