  • situated at the Olkiluoto site; construction started in 1988; final disposal started in 1992, with the first transfer of waste from the Olkiluoto NPP on May 8, 1992[1]
  • final repository for so-called "operating waste" (VLJ) - LMAW
  • waste drums in concrete boxes

The silos are at the depth of 60-100 meters.

  • shaft - height 60 m
  • transport tunnel
  • crane hall:
    • length 65.0 m
    • width 23.4 m
    • height 10.8 m
    • volume 14,900 m³
  • intermediate level waste silo:
    • diameter 23.6 m
    • height 34.5 m
    • inside dimensions of the reinforced concrete silo:
      • diameter 19.9 m
      • height 32.3 m
      • volume 15,100 m³
  • low level waste silo:
    • diameter 23.6 m
    • height 33.6 m
    • volume 14,700 m³
